My thoughts
Recently, I have been cleaning up my media. I am tired of the messages the popular shows are sending to its viewers. As a mother, I want my children to learn uplifting and inspiring messages. I don't want to teach them to have clean language, to have virtue, to love others, and then let them watch shows that promote the complete opposite. Another thing my husband and I have started doing is keeping the Sabbath day holy. We feel that if our children want to watch something, then it should be about the scriptures!
In my household, we love VeggieTales. So you can guess how excited I was to learn that Phil Vischer, creator of VeggieTales, started up a new DVD series. And yes I do know that I am a little slow in hearing about What's In The Bible DVD series. But, at least, it is never to late to start watching these cute episodes!
When Monkey saw Jesus Is The Good News, he was so excited to watch it. I was glad because it meant that I would get the chance to snuggle with my little boy. What's in the Bible does not disappoint! I enjoyed watching the two episodes as much as Monkey. I loved how Monkey was able to learn about Jesus. Plus, the biggest benefit was simply the peaceful feeling that was in our home. It is comforting to know that my son is being exposed to good messages and will know the Bible stories in a short amount of time. And all week long, he wanted to watch this DVD again.
What's In The Bible? DVD series will enhance any lesson you teach your children. You can read the Bible stories, do activities, and watch these episodes to solidify the concepts or values you are teaching your children. Be sure to check these DVDs out and get some because you won't be disappointed. And, these would be a perfect gift for Christmas because it would help your family and other families remember what Christmas is all about!
