Indications
Lemon Essential Oil has a powerfully fresh traditional lemon fragrance that is quite energizing and uplifting. My thoughts

 I just have to say how much I love the company , Majestic Pure. After ordering their lemon essential oil, they sent me a pdf containing information on how to use the oil and the benefits. I absolutely love the pdf because it provided me with other ideas on how to use the oil.

Anyways, when I inspected the bottle I was really surprised by the size of the bottle. It was so big. I use a lot of lemon essential oil so it was nice to know that I wouldn't be running out of this oil super quick. When I opened the bottle, I immediately thought that my kitchen had many fresh cut lemons in it. The smell was wonderful and it really made me happy.

I love using lemon essential oil in my homemade cleaners because my homemade cleaners consist mainly of vinegar. Lemon essential oil is perfect for cleaners since it is antiseptic and it helps lift your mood. So when I clean, I feel happier and I am comforted knowing that my home is cleaner.

And the last thing I want to mention is how I love the dropper that the bottle comes with. The dropper allows me to accurately measure what I want! I really like the dropper more than the control flow cap. All I have to say is how much I love my lemon essential oil.

My thoughts

I have been needing a new water container, and when I read about the double wall hot and cold hydration mug I really wanted to try it out. I love the fact that this mug can be used for hot and cold liquids because I drink. And, it does keep hot liquids hot and cold liquids cold.

The 360 degrees of sipping area is pretty cool especially for mugs! I love the fact that I don't have to make sure I am drinking from the right spot because it doesn't matter.

The one-touch push open lid is really simple to use. One push opens the mug up and another push closes the mug. I love that feature because with little kiddos I don't have to worry about them spilling my drink. This mug is definitely something you won't regret getting. I use mine on a daily basis.

My thoughts

I have never tried a flavor infuser tumbler before; in fact, I have never tried a tumbler. Anyways, I have had fun trying it out. This tumbler is really easy to use. I put whatever I want inside the flavor pod and then I enjoy the wonderful drink that I made.

My little boy absolutely loves this tumbler! He drinks from it everyday because he loves the fact that his "cup" has a straw and that he can have fruit in his drink. He really loves strawberries so he has been enjoying a strawberry drink the last week. I have been enjoying strawberries and lemons in mine.

My thoughts

My thoughts

I am a firm believer in feeding children healthy food. I got a lot of snarky comments when I told people about the way I feed my kids because some people feel that not giving sugar at a young age is mean or not possible. Well, I proved many people wrong. I made my own baby food and gave healthy snacks to my kiddos.

First bites is a well written and well organized book. I love how the book first discusses what growing bodies need and then goes into the 50 superfoods and why they are so important. Then there are 4 chapters dedicated to recipes and they are: 1) fruit and vegetable, 2) grain, 3) protein, and 4) dairy and egg.

Each recipe chapter is divided up into recipes for the following ages: 6-12 months, 12 to 18 months, and 18 to 24 months. This is incredibly helpful because you have a reference on what your child can eat and how to prepare the food. Plus, the recipes are not super complicated and are recipes that everyone can do.

White takes the time to go in depth about the 50 superfoods to explain what it is, why it is important, easy ways to use them, and also provides the name of the recipe that you can look up in the recipe section of the book. This is very helpful because not only do you learn why your child needs certain foods but how to incorporate the food into your meals. Also, the 50 superfoods are foods that you can easily purchase at any grocery store. I love that because it goes to show that you and your family can eat well and not break the budget.

I love how the author promotes food introduction at 6 months of age. I find it really annoying when I read articles saying to feed your baby solids at 4 months. It is actually recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics to wait until 6 months of age to introduce solids in order to allow your child's digestive system to develop. And, the author even provides a suggested chart about when to introduce foods.

Trust me in saying that First Bites is a book that you definitely want to get! And, you can even give it as a gift because it would make a fantastic baby shower gift.

My thoughts

As you probably know by now, I am trying to do everything I can to be healthy. I feel it is really important to watch what you consume. When I heard about Epigenetics, I wanted to read it.

This book is very long and geared more to be an academic book. The first several chapters were full of a lot of history, and it was a little boring. I wanted to learn more about medical history and knowledge instead of ancient history and witchcraft. The witchcraft was talked about because it was used as an analogy to how our current medical system is doing a "witchhunt" on alternative medical practices. I liked that analogy, but I wish the authors would have cut the chapter way down!

 I also felt that the book didn't flow well. It would go in depth about a scientist and then talk a little bit about a statement on how to prevent a certain illness. So there were many times where I was wondering why certain things were included and other things were not. I feel if the book was edited so it wasn't so choppy, then it would be even better.

Epigenetics is a fascinating read about how a lot of the problems society is afflicted with is caused by mineral and element deficiencies. Wallach frequently says."You are what you absorb".  He goes on to say that people with pica, or the munchies, are eating a lot of food because they are craving minerals that their bodies need. I truly believe in this because I have noticed when I get munchies, I look at what I have been eating, and I can see how I am missing certain vitamins and minerals from my diet. Mineral deficiency problems occur a lot in areas where the soil is deficient. That makes so much sense!

Towards the back of the book, the authors discuss many illnesses, diseases, and conditions and what deficiencies cause them. I think this is a great resource for people to try treating their health problems because there are many times where doctors can't help them. The book also goes into depth about the 90 essential vitamins and minerals you need and how they help keep you healthy.

As much as I agree with health problems being linked to mineral deficiencies, I don't really think every single condition is caused my deficiencies. I just didn't agree with Wallach on all his claims. Further studies and research will need to be done. So please keep that in mind and don't blame yourself if your child has a disease or if you have a disease.

Anyways, this book is definitely a good read and you will learn a lot about how to keep yourself healthy!

My thoughts

I love cooking; however, sometimes I really hate all the dirty pans and dishes. The worst dish to clean is from scrambling eggs. My eggs tend to leave a think film on the pan that takes some time to get it off. When I read about the Ozeri Green Earth Frying Pan I was excited to see if it would work with my scrambled eggs. I wanted to try this pan because it is made from a ceramic coating and is free of PTFE and PFOA. I want a pan that has a non-stick coating that isn't toxic.

Before you use the pan, you have to prep it. Basically you rub oil (I used coconut oil) into the pan to prep the pan's surface. After I wiped out the excess oil, I was ready to cook some eggs. I poured only the mixture of eggs into the pan.

While I cooked the eggs, I noticed the pan's textured surface since part of the eggs would get stuck in the surface. The egg did come off, but I would have preferred a smooth surface.

I put some water in the pan, wiped out the egg, and this is what it looks like:

Pretty impressive in my opinion. I didn't have to scrub the pan or let it soak for hours to remove any chunks of eggs. It all came off so easy.

I have used this Ozeri Green Earth Frying pan as my go to breakfast pan. I haven't been disappointed at all with the results. Thankfully, the textured surface hasn't cause any huge problems with food getting stuck in the design. I still think the pan would be "perfect" if the surface was smooth. Anyways, I would totally recommend this product to my family and friends because it is nice and actually has a non-stick coating that works.

My thoughts

The first thing I noticed about the Lemon Essential Oil was the size of the bottle. It is huge!  When I opened the bottle, I immediately smelled fresh lemons. It was such a wonderful and soothing smell.

This lemon essential oil is so versatile. I love adding it my homemade cleaning solution because it provides a lovely smell to everything I clean which is really good because I use a lot of vinegar to clean my house. Another reason I love to clean with this oil is that it is antiseptic! I have used it for a lot of household cleaning tasks and the bottle looks like I haven't used any. It is so concentrated that a little bit really goes a long way.

I also really love the dropper that they provide because it allows me to get exactly how much of the lemon essential oil without getting too much or too little. Other bottles have control flow caps that really don't work so you end up getting way too much. But, you don't have to worry about that with this bottle!

I really have been enjoying my lemon essential oil, and I totally recommend getting this product for your household.

My thoughts

I am trying to lower my landfill fingerprint and save money. I don't like the idea of buying things that are intended to be thrown away. That is why I made the switch to cloth diapers and cloth wipes. I am hoping to make the switch to mama cloth.I am also in the process of making my own set of kitchen cloth towels to be used to wipe up spills, etc. because I hate using disposable towels.

My thoughts

I have just begun my journey into essential oils. It only makes sense since I am enjoying gardening, raising my own chickens, and growing herbs. Peppermint essential oil was one of the oils I really wanted to get.

Majestic Pure peppermint essential oil comes in a big bottle and with a dropper. I love the dropper because it allows you to get exactly what you want and no more! I have had other essential oils with control flow caps and I tend to get more out than I want or some of it spills around the lid.

I had the lovely experience of getting the stomach flu virus. When I was recovery, my stomach would get nauseated eating simple foods. In order to help calm my stomach, I would place one drop on a cotton ball and let the smell of the peppermint reach my nose. In a few minutes, my stomach was settled.

My sweet boys shared their cold with me and my husband. We got super congested and had some minor respiratory problems. It was nice to be able to use the peppermint oil to fix that problems. And, it helped relieve headaches from all the congestion. I love getting fast results that last for a long time.

Please remember that while essential oils are natural, you need to research about them before you use. Essential oils are just like medicine, they have dosages and shouldn't be used for certain ages or conditions. For example, peppermint oil is one you don't use during pregnancy and for really young children. Majestic pure provides the information you need which I really appreciated because it will help prevent people from using the oil incorrectly. This goes to show that this company knows what it is doing!

There is a really helpful site, http://www.learningabouteos.com  , that will let you know how and when to use essential oils. This site has been an extremely beneficial tool! I am sharing this because I want everyone to know that essential oils need to be used safely and in correct dosages.

Anyways, I love knowing that I can treat my family at home and help aid their recovery from their illnesses. I love how essential oils have made my family depend less on pharmaceuticals and doctor visits. I am slowly adding essential oils to my "medicine cabinet" because they really do make a huge difference. I would recommend this peppermint essential oil to any of my family and friends!

Oh, and I can't wait to see how it works with keeping spiders and other insects out of my house come spring.

My thoughts

My kiddos have sensitive skin so I make sure to be really careful with the products I have in my home. I am also working on ridding my house of products that contain harsh and toxic chemicals. Totlogic body lotion is designed for babies, children, and even adults. It has a very faint smell which is nice for those times when you really don't want a lotion with a lot of fragrance. Also, little scent means less chance of skin irritation which is a huge plus for me.

The lotion is really easy to use and spread over your hands and body. My kiddos love Totlogic lotion. Monkey had fun using the Totlogic body lotion when his hands got dry from being outside. And Roo liked it so much he took

My kiddos get baths frequently because they get into so much mischief! Because they love playing in the water, I like to have safe body washes & shampoos around. I really want to give my kids the best future and I feel that by not exposing them to harsh and toxic chemicals is one way of achieving that goal.

My thoughts

I really don't like soaps with artificial dyes and fragrances because they irritate my skin and I don't like some of the potential problems that can arise when those chemicals. The Natural HomeLogic dish soap is a perfect solution. It is free of many harmful chemicals and is naturally scented. The citrus grove is a pleasant smell. It is not a strong smell, but that is good for many people who don't like strong scents.

The dish soap worked well on my dishes and cleaned everything very efficiently. I didn't have a problem at all with the soap. Once I was done washing all my dishes, my hands were still soft and not bothered. It is definitely hypoallergenic.


Final thoughts

Totlogic and Natural Homelogic are definitely brands to check out! The best part is that they have even more products than the ones I reviewed such as bubble bath, diaper balm, hair conditioners, laundry detergent, and more! I know I want to try out more!
