About the book

The Berenstain Bears and The Biggest Brag is about Brother and Sister Bear and how they like to be the best at everything. These siblings end up bragging about everything they have accomplished. Despite their parents telling them that bragging and boasting is not loving each other, Brother and Sister Bear don't listen. One day they end up getting into a huge bragging contest on what they see in the clouds. Thankfully, Grizzly Gramps intervenes and teaches the bears about "Where there is strife, there is pride."

My thoughts

The Berenstain Bears and The Biggest Brag is a delightful book to help teach your children about pride and the problems of bragging. The illustrations really captured my kids' attention and they loved the images that Brother and Sister Bear saw in the clouds. I really liked how the author was able to include the Bible throughout the book to teach about love and strife. It is a perfect way to show your kids how the Holy Bible is an important part of the life.

At the very end of the book, the author includes a page titled "Activities and Questions from Brother and Sister Bear". This page provides questions that you can discuss with your child such as "What exactly does it mean to brag?" And, it provides activities that you can do with your children. I really liked the activity where you teach your children that it's okay to be proud of the talents that God has given you because those talents allow you to serve others. We really loved this book because it allows you to learn how to become a better person while enjoying a delightful story.
